Here are four basic tips

for cycling in Cyprus

Maintain control

The road traffic regulations must be observed. Please note to drive on the left.

We urgently appeal to common sense not to throw garbage into botany. Carrying packaging of e.g. bars, energy gels or other items is not a burden if you dispose of it in the nearest trash can.

Protect yourself

There is no requirement that a helmet must be worn. We strongly recommend wearing a helmet. If no helmet is available, you can borrow or buy one from us.

Wear your helmet per manufacturer directions.

It gets dark relatively quickly in autumn and spring, so we advise you to have light with you when planning tours that go or could go into twilight or darkness.

Do I have to wear a helmet?

Since 2024, wearing a helmet has been mandatory. We recommend it in any case. Riding without a helmet is always at your own risk. Helmets are available free of charge from us.

a deposit must

At the start of the rental there is a deposit of 500 € for racing bikes and 200 € for MTBs  to be paid. The deposit can be cash  deposited or blocked by credit card.

The repayment in cash or approval on the credit card takes place when the bike is properly returned.

rental contract

The contract can only be concluded by a person older than 18 years. This person is responsible for the rented equipment including all extras booked

Insurance

The bikes are NOT When booking via the ListNRide system directly on the website, insurance can be added. (recommended)

The lessor is therefore not liable for damage to the bike or third parties, accidents, loss, theft or any kind of improper handling.

Accident / damage / loss of the bike

In the event of an accident or theft / loss of the bike, the lessor must be informed immediately. In the event of an accident involving a third party, a report may be required. 

Damage caused by improper transport must be paid for by the person renting the vehicle.

The renting person is not allowed to carry out any repairs on the bike. The renting person is fully responsible for any damage caused by repairs. Exceptions are fine adjustments of the gearshift / brake or wheel breakdowns where an exchange of the hose is necessary.

Use on the beach

The use of all bikes on the beach (in the sand) or in connection with salt water is prohibited. In the event of non-compliance, there will be a contractual penalty in the amount of the deposit.

Tour to the north side

In general, cycling on the northern part of Cyprus is not prohibited. Please note that this is done at your own risk. Taking out insurance via the booking portal is strongly recommended.
